Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 October 2026
The agreement between you and us when you create a Baralar account.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Baralar is a personal finance tracking service provided through the website, web application and installable app (PWA) under the baralar.com domain. The service is operated by Ahmet Doğan, an individual established in Türkiye (“Baralar”, “we”, “us”).
When you accept these Terms of Service while creating an account, they become a binding agreement between you and Baralar. How we process your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, and the information stored on your device is described in our Cookie Policy.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Baralar. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
- Your account is personal and for your own use only.
- You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out through your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, notify us immediately.
If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account, we may close it.
3. What Baralar is and is not
Baralar is a record-keeping and planning tool that helps you track your income, expenses, debts, receivables, budgets and scheduled payments based on the information you enter.
- Baralar is not a bank, payment institution or investment firm. It does not transfer funds, receive or send payments, or connect to your bank accounts.
- Balances, summaries, forecasts and suggestions shown in the service are based on the data you provide and do not constitute financial, investment, tax or legal advice.
- You are responsible for your financial decisions. Rely on your official records for important decisions and seek professional advice where appropriate.
4. AI-powered features
Features such as creating records from documents, importing records from files and category suggestions are powered by artificial intelligence and form part of the service. When you use them, the file or text you select and the context needed for the task (such as your category and account names) are processed by our AI service provider. Details are set out in our Privacy Policy.
- AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete. You must review suggested records before saving them; suggestions are not saved without your confirmation.
- AI features may be subject to daily or monthly usage limits for fair use and cost reasons.
- We recommend removing or covering information that is not needed for the task, such as identity numbers, full card numbers or health information, before uploading a document.
5. Your content
The records you enter and the documents you upload belong to you. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free and transferable licence to store, process, display and back up your content only as necessary to provide, protect and improve the service. This licence ends when you close your account and your content is deleted.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- We may use anonymous, aggregated statistics that do not identify you to improve the service.
- You confirm that you have the right to use the documents you upload and that the content does not infringe the rights of others.
- You can request a copy of your data at any time through our contact form, giving the email address registered with Baralar.
6. Acceptable use
You may use Baralar only lawfully and in accordance with these terms. In particular, you must not:
- use the service for unlawful purposes, on behalf of others without authorisation, or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
- attempt to bypass security measures, access other users’ data or harm the system;
- access the service in bulk with automated tools, try to circumvent usage limits or place an unusual load on the infrastructure;
- copy, reverse engineer or create a copy of the software or service;
- use the AI features to generate content that breaches the usage policies of our AI provider.
If you breach these rules, we may restrict your access, suspend or close your account.
7. Pricing and usage limits
Baralar is currently free; no payment details are required to create an account or use the service.
We may offer optional paid plans in the future based on usage and the cost of running the service. Users who created their account before paid plans are offered will keep the free usage they had on that date, free of charge.
- To keep the service sustainable and prevent abuse, per-person fair use and technical limits apply to resources such as AI operations and document storage. If a limit prevents an action, we will tell you in the app.
- You will never be charged and no subscription will start without an explicit purchase by you.
- If a paid plan is offered, its price, scope, renewal and cancellation terms will be clearly shown before purchase.
- We will announce changes that narrow free usage before they take effect.
8. Changes to the service and availability
Baralar is continuously developed. We may add, change or remove features, and we may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance and updates. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, but we take reasonable care.
If we decide to discontinue the service entirely, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and allow you to obtain a copy of your data.
9. Intellectual property
All rights in the Baralar software, design, name, logo and other elements belong to Baralar. These terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service for personal purposes; no other rights are transferred.
We may use any feedback and suggestions you send us about the service without any obligation to you.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- we make no express or implied warranty that the service is fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted, or that calculations and AI output are accurate;
- we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of data, loss of business or indirect damages;
- we are not liable for the consequences of financial decisions you make based on the service.
These limitations do not affect liability arising from intent or gross negligence, nor your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
11. Closing your account
You can stop using Baralar at any time. You can close your account in the Account section of Settings. Within 30 days of closing, you can reopen your account by signing in with your email address and password. After that period, your account and data are permanently deleted as set out in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, endanger the security of the service, or where required by law. In non-serious cases, we will notify you in advance and give you reasonable time to obtain a copy of your data.
12. Changes to these terms
Baralar reserves the right to change these terms for valid reasons, such as changes to the service, the pricing model, legal requirements or security needs, and you accept this right.
- We will notify you in the app or by email at least 15 days before any change that materially affects your rights or obligations takes effect, and where necessary ask you to accept the new version.
- Corrections, clarifications or additions relating to new features may take effect as soon as they are published.
- If you do not accept a change, you can request a copy of your data and close your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
- This page always shows the current terms. We keep previous versions, and you can request a copy of the version you accepted through our contact form.
13. Assignment
Baralar may transfer its rights and obligations under this agreement, with notice to you, if the service is transferred to a company or another operator. In that case, your personal data will continue to be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy. You may not transfer your rights under this agreement without our written consent.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If a dispute arises, we kindly ask you to contact us first through our contact form. As a consumer, you may apply to the consumer arbitration committee or consumer court at your place of residence within the statutory monetary limits.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you retain the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence and your right to bring proceedings before its competent courts.
15. General
If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to exercise a right does not mean we waive it. We will send notices to you in the app or to your registered email address.
These terms are provided in Turkish and English; in case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.
